Today being a prime example, I had planned to start a grammar check on the 2nd book. I was going to find a quiet spot, set up the old laptop, and start the long slog of double checking the grammar of my manuscript. Something that is not only utterly boring to me, but as a person with dyslexia, somewhat of a challenge too, however I got distracted.
What I actually did was scribbled some notes on an idea that popped into my head earlier in the day, started writing a chapter for the 3rd book in the series, then abandoned it and updated my twitter.
I suppose I still got stuff done, but not what I'd planned. I think it's the scale of the big job on my to-do list that always seems to make me drawn to the smaller tasks first, or makes me go off and do the complete opposite of what I'm meant to be doing that day.
Clearly procrastination is my down fall - that and a very short attention span
