I love this one, it has a jumpy beat and always make me feel happy. It has the sound of old Hollywood about it, from the golden age long past. And it's quite a lengthy piece so I tend to get caught up in a fast pace of typing while it's playing.
This one has a whimsical tone, that builds slowly, and has a tempo which soon speeds up. I've like this piece of music since I was a child, and it remains a firm favourite today.
This one is well titled because it inspires in me beginnings, as if things are being renewed. Works well if I'm trying to find the words to start a chapter, when I first take the thoughts out my head and try to put them on the page.
Exotic sound, and steady rhythm. I always find myself nodding my head along to this one. And it just makes me want to get up and move.
Bit of a sombre undertone, but then at the same time it has a childlike sound to it too.
Full orchestra, which speeds and slows perfectly. Though it's quite fast paced at points I find it oddly calming to write to. I think it's the range of different tones all layered together in one piece that make it work.
Need a good bit of entrance music for your main villain's character, or inspiration for a fight or death scene, then this piece is the one. It builds very satisfyingly before coming crashing down in a wave of blows!
Ultimate creep factor, and to me always feels as if it was written especially for Halloween itself! It imagines up visions of graveyards, monster balls and vampires of old aplenty!
Just a few of my favourite instrumentals there, I'm sure you all have your own and if you'd like me to do a second compilation including any of your own tunes which you guys love to write to, feel free to DM me and I'll see what I can do. And there will of course be shout-outs and mentions to all the music recommendations that make it into that post.
